Main Card:

Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic def.  Anthony Perosh via TKO due to cut after 5:00 in Round 2. Cro Cop destroys Perosh in the first round but doesn’t finish the fight. Cro Cop opened up a huge cut on Perosh’s forehead in the second round with an elbow from inside the guard. Perosh stepped in on short notice to replace Ben Rothwell and was outclassed by Filipovic in this bout. Who could be next for Cro Cop? I’d like to see him face Randy Couture at some point.

Ryan Bader def. Keith Jardine via KO at 2:10 in Round 3: Bader and Jardine both exchanged and landed some heavy punches in the first two minutes of the round. Bader took Jardine down with easy and worked some ground and pound until they were stood up by referee Josh Rosenthal. Bader took the first round by Jardine owned the second. Jardine avoided all takedowns in round 2. Ryan Bader is an Ultimate Fighter winner and now has an 11-0 professional record. Keith Jardine has now lost 3 in a row. Could the Dean of Mean be on the UFC chopping block?

Sotiropolous tried to secure some submissions but Stevenson was elusive and locked in an arm-triangle that looked tight. Sotiropoulos did win the round, gaining the mount and staying in the top position. Sotiropoulos certainly deserved to win this fight and controlled Stevenson in all aspects of the fight. Wanderlei dominated the majority of the fight and looked impressive in his first fight in the UFC’s middleweight division. Bisping suffers his third career loss while Silva bounces back after two straight losses.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Cain Velasquez via TKO at 2:20 in Round 1. Velasquez and Nogueira both exchanged good punches. Velasquez hit Nogueira with several leg kicks but Nogueira rocked him with a punch. Velasquez landed a huge uppercut on Nogueira that dropped him to the mat. Velasquez pounced on Nogueira with a few more punches but Nogueira was out and referee Herb Dean stopped the fight accordingly.
