Kang, "Haggis Basher" winners at W-1: Judgement Day

Denis Kang stepped into the Warrior-1 cage for the first time on Saturday, June 19 in the main event of W-1 Judgement Day, held in Laval, Québec. Kang’s first punch knocked down his opponent Dae Won Kim, he then secured an arm-triangle choke to force the first stanza submission. Adrian “The Bully” Wooley defended his W-1 bantwamweight (135lbs.) championship in a dominating performance over Cesar Gracie trained, Randy Spence. John “Haggis Basher” Fraser scored his fourth consecutive victory and exacted some revenge in a rematch with Thierry “The Surgeon” Quenneville. Fraser had lost to Quenneville earlier in his career but won this bout via submission due to strikes to become the first Warrior-1 featherweight (145lbs.) champion.

W-1 MMA Signs Denis Kang & Vernon "Tiger" White

W-1 (Warrior One) one of Canada’s top MMA promotions based out of Toronto signs MMA Veterans Denis Kang (32-12-1) and Vernon “Tiger” White (26-33-2).

Kang signs with W-1 after being cut from the UFC after a disappointing loss to Ultimate Fighter 3 winner Michael “The Count” Bisping. Kang has a 1-2 record in the UFC and is working his way back to the #1 promotion in the world. Kang a Pancrase, K-1, Pride, Dream and UFC alumni will make his W-1 debut at W-1 Bad Blood against another W-1 debuting veteran in the world of MMA, Vernon “Tiger” White. White is a journey man with over 50 professional fights and has battled the biggest names in the business, such as Frank Shamrock, Chuck Liddell, Bas Rutten and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida.

W-1 Bad Blood is the promotions first venture outside of Gatineau, Quebec and promises to be a good one as also featured on the card W-1 Welterweight Champion Carlos “The Ronin” Newton (15-13) defends his title against the very dangerous Chris Clements (6-3)
