RINGSIDE 7 : NO ESCAPE

This Friday June 18th Ringside MMA will be presenting their seventh event: “No Escape” at Centre Pierre Charbonneau.

The event will be headlined by Lightweight Champion Guillaume De Lorenzi defending his title Dale Hartt. The card also features Top Quebec MMA prospects Derek Gauthier, Tom Murphy, Samuel Guillet, Alex Garcia, and Daylin Logan.

The Kimbo Slice show is coming to Montreal

Las Vegas, NV (USA) – Canada will get their first dose of the Kimbo Slice phenomenon on Saturday, May 8^th, when the Ultimate Fighter alumnus looks to make it 2-0 in the Octagon on the UFC 113: Machida vs Shogun 2 card at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Slice (4-1), fresh off his three round unanimous decision victory over Houston Alexander at the TUF10 finale last December, will be in with a familiar foe on May 8^th, as he takes on his Ultimate Fighter castmate, Matt Mitrione in a heavyweight bout made official today.

Mitrione (1-0), an NFL veteran, made his proper mixed martial arts debut on the TUF10 finale card and showed impressive poise and power as he knocked out Marcus Jones in the second round, and he hopes to make another statement when he squares off with Kimbo this spring.

Ringside Report Radio February 10 and 11 now available

The February 10 and 11 episodes of Ringside Report Radio are now available for download.

In the February 10 episode,Dave and Kevin discuss the results of UFC 109 and the fallout from the card. They talked about the possible UFC cuts of Mark Coleman, Frank Trigg, Phillipe Nover and Tim Hague. Dave and Kevin also talked about Randy Couture’s next opponent and a whole lot more MMA and Pro Wrestling. Listen to the February 10 show here

In the February 11 episode, Dave and Kevin talked about Vitor Belfort’s shoulder injury forcing him out of his bout with Anderson Silva at UFC 112 in April. They talked to Nate Marquardt’s strength and conditioning coach Jonathan Chaimberg who was in Las Vegas for Marquardt’s fight against Chael Sonnen at UFC 109. Chaimberg talked about the loss to Sonnen and the possibility of Marquardt fighting Silva in April. “The Polish Experiment” Krzysztof Soszynski also appeared on the program to talk about his upcoming fight at UFC 110 against Stephan Bonnar, appearing in the new UFC video game and more.
